These husks are extracted from the pure bean of the cacao fruit itself.
The cacao is from our village of Mankrong and grown locally by our experienced farmers.
These very cacao trees are not mono-culturally invasive, but they are rather grown in little-medium forest patches within each farmer’s land. Meaning that every farmers still has lots of space for other crops and promote biodiversity.
Once harvested, the cacao is then hand-processed, where the peel is extracted from every bean 1 by 1.
Yes, you heard it right: 1 by 1.
The peels are then selected and packaged with love, care and intentions all the way to you.
Cacao husks are loaded with antioxidants, which can help fight free radicals and reduce inflammation. Nutrients: Cacao husks are full of essential nutrients, including magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium, B vitamins, and vitamin A.
When the cacao husks are steeped in water it makes a delicious, light and healthy chocolate tea. It contains theobromine, the mood-boosting stimulant, without the jittery side effects of caffeine.
HOW TO USE IT
-Send 1 table spoon of husk into a cup following by hot water.
-Cover and let seem for 10 minutes
(little longer for Steiger taste little shorter for milder taste)
-Add sweetener if you like
-Enjoy your warm, cozy and mellow cacao tea
